How do I install Amazon Quick View Pro?

Follow these steps to install the extension:

  1. Go to the Chrome Web Store
  2. Search for "Amazon Quick View Pro"
  3. Click "Add to Chrome"
  4. Confirm the installation by clicking "Add Extension"
  5. You'll see the extension icon appear in your browser toolbar
💡 Tip: Pin the extension to your toolbar for easy access by clicking the puzzle piece icon and then the pin icon next to Amazon Quick View Pro.
Do I need to create an account to use the extension?

No, an account is completely optional!

You can use all core features without an account:

  • ✅ View product badges (profit, BSR, seller info)
  • ✅ Bookmark products locally
  • ✅ Create research profiles
  • ✅ Export data as CSV

An account is only needed if you want to:

  • ☁️ Sync your data across multiple devices
  • 💾 Back up your research to the cloud

How do I create my first research profile?

Creating a profile is easy:

  1. Click the extension icon to open the side panel
  2. Go to the Profiles tab
  3. Click + New Product Profile
  4. Enter a name (e.g., "Electronics Q4")
  5. Select your Amazon marketplace domain
  6. Enter your cost settings (product cost, shipping, etc.)
  7. Click Save Profile
✅ Once saved, set it as your active profile to start seeing profit calculations on Amazon!

How is profit calculated?

The extension calculates profit using this formula:

Revenue = Price × Quantity
Fees = (Referral Fee × Quantity) + (FBA Fee × Quantity) + Storage Fee + Additional Costs
Costs = (Product Cost × Quantity) + (Shipping × Quantity) + (Ads × Quantity) + (Revenue × Return Rate %)
Net Profit = Revenue - Fees - Costs
Margin = (Net Profit / Revenue) × 100%
ROI = (Net Profit / Total Costs) × 100%

All numbers are estimates. You should verify calculations independently before making business decisions.

What is BSR and how do you extract it?

BSR (Best Sellers Rank) is Amazon's ranking of how well a product is selling in its category. Lower numbers = better sales.

The extension extracts BSR using multiple methods to ensure accuracy across all 22+ Amazon marketplaces:

  • 📊 Best Sellers Rank section in product details
  • 📋 Product Details table
  • 📦 Nested BSR list (detailBulletsWrapper_feature_div)
  • 🔗 JSON-LD structured data (most reliable)
  • 🌍 Language-agnostic patterns for non-English domains
💡 Note: BSR may not be available for all products, especially new listings or those with no sales history.
How do I bookmark a product?

Bookmarking products is simple:

  1. Navigate to any Amazon product page or search result
  2. Look for the ★ Bookmark button in the extension badge
  3. Click the button
  4. Select which profile to save the product to
  5. The product will appear in your side panel under that profile
✅ Bookmarked products save all data: ASIN, title, price, rating, BSR, seller info, and profit calculations!
What are Additional Costs and how do I use them?

Additional Costs allow you to add unlimited custom fees to your profit calculations:

  • Fixed amount - e.g., $1.80 media closing fee, $0.55 prep fee
  • Percentage - e.g., 2% currency conversion fee, 20% VAT

To add an Additional Cost:

  1. Open the profile modal (Edit Profile or Create New Profile)
  2. Scroll to the Additional Costs section
  3. Click the + button
  4. Enter a name (e.g., "Media Closing Fee")
  5. Enter the amount and select Fixed or Percentage
  6. Click Add Cost
💡 Fixed costs multiply by Quantity. Percentage costs apply to total revenue.

🔧 Troubleshooting

Common Issues & Solutions

Badges not showing on Amazon

Refresh the Amazon page. If still not showing, click the extension icon to open the side panel and ensure you're signed in. The extension only works on Amazon product pages and search results.

BSR not showing or "Not available"

Some products (especially new listings) may not have BSR data yet. The extension tries multiple extraction methods - if still not showing, Amazon may not have assigned a BSR to this product.

Profit calculations seem wrong

Check your profile settings: product cost, shipping, FBA fee, referral fee, and quantity. Make sure you've selected the correct Amazon domain for your marketplace. Also verify that any Additional Costs are correctly configured.

Extension stopped working after Chrome update

Try these steps:

  1. Go to chrome://extensions/
  2. Toggle the extension off, then on again
  3. If that doesn't work, click "Remove" and reinstall from Chrome Web Store

Cloud sync not working

Make sure you're signed in. Check your internet connection. Try signing out and back in. You can also force a sync by opening the side panel and clicking the refresh button on any profile.

How do I clear the BSR cache?

To clear the BSR cache:

  1. Open the extension side panel
  2. Click the Settings button (⚙️) at the bottom
  3. In the Settings page, scroll to Data Management
  4. Click Clear BSR Cache

This forces the extension to fetch fresh BSR data for all products on your next Amazon visit.

The Bulk ASIN Checker shows "CAPTCHA detected" - what do I do?

Amazon sometimes triggers CAPTCHA challenges when receiving many requests. Here's what to do:

  1. Open an Amazon tab in your browser
  2. Complete any CAPTCHA challenges you see
  3. Return to the extension's Bulk ASIN tab
  4. Click the Resume button
⚠️ If CAPTCHAs appear frequently, reduce the number of ASINs per batch or increase the delay between requests.

🔐 Account & Sync

How do I reset my password?

To reset your password:

  1. Go to the extension's side panel
  2. Click Sign Out (or go to login page)
  3. Click Forgot password? on the login screen
  4. Enter your email address
  5. Check your email for a password reset link
  6. Click the link and create a new password
💡 The reset link expires after 24 hours. If you don't see the email, check your spam folder.
Can I use the extension on multiple devices?

Yes! If you create an account and sign in, your data syncs across all devices where you use the extension:

  • 💻 Multiple computers with the same Chrome profile
  • 🖥️ Different Chrome profiles (sign in with same account)
  • 📱 Chrome on different operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux)

Simply install the extension on each device and sign in with the same email and password. Your profiles, bookmarks, and categories will sync automatically.

How do I delete my account and data?

To permanently delete your account and all cloud data:

  1. Sign in to the extension
  2. Open the side panel
  3. Click the Settings button (⚙️)
  4. Scroll to the Account section
  5. Click Sign Out (this does not delete your data)

To request full account deletion: Email privacy@amazonquickview.net from your registered email address with "Delete My Account" in the subject line. We will process deletion within 7 days.

⚠️ Account deletion is permanent. Your cloud data cannot be recovered after deletion.

Is Amazon Quick View Pro free?
✅ Yes, the extension is completely free to use!

All core features are free with no hidden costs:

There are no premium tiers, subscriptions, or paywalls. If we ever introduce paid features in the future, existing free features will remain free.

Are there any usage limits?

The only limit is on the Bulk ASIN Checker:

  • 500 ASINs per day - This prevents excessive requests to Amazon that could trigger rate limiting or CAPTCHAs

All other features have no limits:

  • 📌 Unlimited bookmarked products
  • 📁 Unlimited research profiles
  • 🏷️ Unlimited categories
  • 🔄 Unlimited cloud sync (with account)

The daily limit resets at midnight UTC each day.
